World Wide Law Review

The World Wide Law Review does not pretend to be an academic journal, but the publisher, Al Global Media, portrays itself as a "dedicated network of writers, researchers, designers and industry insiders." Furthermore, WWLR claims "contributions from some of the greatest legal minds of our day" and "razor sharp editorial [sic] designed to educate, inform and, ultimately, inspire readers, making it an invaluable resource for anyone involved with or interested in the global legal market."
Email
The following email purports to be a reminder, but it is the first communication from WWLR. It ends with a bizarre confidentiality notice and disclaimer. The confusion of first and last names is also reminiscent of Chinese spam, although Al Global's website sports a London address.

Just a quick reminder to let you know that I still have some pages available in the next issue of Worldwide Law Review and I would like to know if you would like to be featured?
I have 3 reduced options available and they are as follows:

This consists of 1 page of editorial content, your logo included in our e-newsletter for 1 month and an interactive web banner on Worldwide Law Review’s website for 1 month.
Option 2: £500 – usually £750
This option will give you 2 pages of editorial content, a supporting front cover image & headline, your logo included in our e-newsletter for 3 months and an interactive web banner on Worldwide Law Review’s website for 3 months
Option 3: £750 our most popular offer – usually £995
This is our most popular offer because you get the most for your money. This option will get you 4 pages of editorial content, inside front cover image & headline, supporting front cover image & headline, your logo included in our e-newsletter for 6 months and an interactive web banner on Worldwide Law Review’s website for 6 months.
All of our content is re-usable and you can use it as you see fit for your own marketing purposes.
If you would like to take one of our fantastic offers, all you need to do is reply to my email ASAP with “agreed at option and price” and I will pass you over to our editorial team who will work with you to produce your inclusion.
I look forward to hearing from you.

  1. I have a feeling that "World Wide Law Review" is a fake publication that piggybacks off a real company called AI Global Media.

Take a look at AI Global Media's publications list, nowhere is World Wide Law Review to be found.

The scammers are hoping you think the proposal is legitimate because they correlate themselves with, and go figure, a real business.
