Journals from Leon Publications of Rajasthan

The Chemistry Research Journal, the Pharmaceutical & Chemical Journal, and the Journal of Scientific and Engineering Research all supply the following contact information:

Leon Publications,
6 LNP (Kundlawala)
Shriganganagar
Rajasthan, India
Pin Code: 335002

The ISSN record for the pharmaceutical journal identifies the publisher only as Kundlawala: TPCJ. This journal is not indexed by ICI (Index Copernicus International). A 2015 request for evaluation (at https://www.scholarimpact.org/2349-7092-tpcj.html) lists the publisher as Neeraj Kumar (neerajkumarkamra@gmail.com). CiteFactor and other websites also list Neeraj Kumar as the publisher. A Neeraj Kumar who uses this email address has published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research (IJPSDR) of Uttar Pradesh and the Tropical Journal of Pharmaceutical Research (TJPR), located in Nigeria. His affiliations as given in these articles are with the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy, Geetanjali University, Udaipur-313001, Rajasthan, India, and the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Geetanjali Institute of Pharmacy, Udaipur-313022, respectively.

The journal that spammed me publishes with bimonthly "periodicity." The table of contents of the current issue displays a generous understanding of chemistry research. It contains articles (all financed by the same author) on "Prevalence of Abnormal Pap Smear Results in Syrian Women," "Abdominal Hernias in Adults at a Group of Syrian Population," "Acute Bacterial Meningitis: Demographics, Symptoms and Signs," and "Cholesteatoma Effects on Hearing and Ossicles at Al-Mouwasat University Hospital."

Scitech Central's Idea of a Scientific Paper

The Journal of Genomic Medicine and Pharmacogenomics "strives to publish the highest quality scientific papers and review articles of interest to academic and industrial researchers." I fear it has a ways to go. Here is an example of what this journal has achieved. It is the entire article (sans figures).

“Gene” of Mind and “Gene” of Soul
Citation: Chaudhuri TK, Chowdhury TK, Chaudhuri TR, Chowdhury TK & Chowdhury BR. (2019) “Gene” of Mind and “Gene” of Soul. J Genomic Med Pharmacogenomics, 4(1): 382-383.

INTRODUCTION

The human being is composed of three parts – Physical body, mind and soul. The modern science has explained how the physical body is formed - by the science of Biology and Embryology [1] - union of sperm with ovum followed by cell division and cell differentiation to form different tissues, organs and systems - which is controlled by Gene –> Chromosome –> DNA. However, the modern science has not been able to explain the mechanism of formation of human Mind and Soul until now. A group of scientists, doctor, divine mentor and spiritual gurus have discovered the scientific mechanism of formation of human mind and soul by virtue of their spiritual research, meditational research and near-death experience research [2,3].

MATERIALS AND METHODS

The information presented in this paper was first conceived by one of the authors, the Divine Mentor (Sree Taposh K Chowdhury) during his worship, prayer, meditation and near-death experience with close encounter with God, seeing the physical appearance of the God, hearing the voices of God’s teaching how the mind and soul are formed and hearing order from the God to disseminate this knowledge to the people on the earth. Subsequently the other four authors of this paper also conceived the same divine message through their near-death experiences.

RESULTS

Since this is theoretical research, not a laboratory bench research, no data are available. The authors propose that the mechanism of formation of human mind and soul is mediated through the science of particle physics and quantum physics of Electromagnetic Energy (EME) of the Human Mind (Figures 1 and 2). The authors name these EME particles as ‘Mene” (“gene” of Mind) and “Sene” (“gene” of Soul) to conform to the name Gene for physical body.

Figure 3 depicts how the “gene” of mind works. When there is a physical union between father and mother, the EME of Father’s mind and the EME of Mother’s mind collide each other to create a third energy which forms the mind of the child. The mind of the child is the mirror-image of the mind of the parents. Figure 4 depicts how the “gene” of soul works. There are all kinds of soul floating in the space - great soul, good soul to bad soul and evil soul. During the physical union of the father and mother, one of these souls is downloaded in the newly created human being depending on the worship, prayer and meditation of the parents during the creation of the new human being.

DISCUSSION

While the mechanism of formation of the physical body of the newly created human being is mediated through the science of physiology, biochemistry and biophysics controlled by the biological molecule - Gene -> Chromosomes -> DNA, the mechanism of formation of mind (atomic body) and soul (subatomic body) is mediated through the physics particles – the Electromagnetic Energy of the Human Mind. The new information presented here would be of great benefit to humankind.

The corresponding author is "Tapan K Chaudhuri, Chaudhuri Spiritual Research Center, Hampton, VA, USA." The publisher of this and other allegedly peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals (discussed in a previous posting) uses the name of Scitech Central.

Magnus Med Club is no Club Med

Magnus Med Club is the unlikely name of a publisher of seven journals (soon to be eight) with names like "Dental," "Medical Research," and "Surgeries." Neither the journal that spammed me (Neonatal) nor the three other Magnes Med Club ones that I spotchecked listed an editor-in-chief.

The one US member of the editorial board of Neonatal is "Mirela Olympia Fagarasan Palmer, Professor, University of South California, USA." Her name is on the editorial boards of journals and conference programs from various publishers and conference organizers of ill repute (Omics International, Medwin, Iris, etc.). The name "Palmer" preceded by any of the other three names does not appear on the USC medical school's faculty index or in the USC directory.

The website speaks of helping "researchers to make new discoveries in the various fields of research." These lead "to the development of the scientific community." The journals are constantly" updated to keep the knowledge flowing." Who could ask for more?

The Ohio Secretary of State's office shows a for-profit corporation named Magnus Med Club was last registered in October 2019, by Zubair Muhammad. Zoominfo reports three employees and revenue of $193,000. The Club's address of 8408 Gradington Drive, Westerville OH 43081, USA, appears to be that of a residence rented by Syed Fazal.

Global Press Hub "facilitates the research"

"Global Press Hub is" -- wait for it -- "a global publishing company that publishes" -- wait for it -- "in science, technical and medical (STM)" -- stop waiting -- the sentence on the About Us page ends there. This Indian company lists ten journals, mostly named "Asian Journal of ... ."

The exceptional "Asian Basic and Applied Research Journal aims to publish high-quality papers in all areas of ‘research’." Do the internal quotation marks mean that even the editors (if there are any -- none are named on the journal's website) have their doubts? The webpage sports a 1981 copyright (mistyped as @) even though the first issue did not appear until 2019.

The Hub's webpages are devoid of information on its officers and employees. The office in Ireland (if there is one) has an address and a fax number. No telephone number.

Institute for Promoting Research & Policy Develop (IPRPD) follows a unique set of culture of togetherness

The Institute for Promoting Research & Policy Development (IPRPD) "follows a unique set of culture of togetherness." It shares "ideology" with "spectators." Its "primary purpose is to distribute the knowledge of the most recent researches and breakthroughs among 'Collins' who have severe quest of learning and gather knowledge." Through its (two) journals, "connoisseurs altogether discover answers to the never-ending questions."

Its peer review is expeditious: "Each submission undergoes a detailed but rapid review by our respected reviewers. The review process will be completed expectedly within 5-7 days." Such alacrity has few peers.

Initially (the founding date was 1/1/2019), "IPRPD’s activities were based in Bangladesh and India only but later its possibilities have been extended to the world at large through its U.S. International Center."

Mathews Journal of Forensic Research Charges for Wastage of Precious Resources

Mathews Open Access Journals About Us page includes such putative sentences as "So that we can rejoice the miraculous outcomes of the researches done by our passionate researchers, professors, young and energetic scholars." The real miracle may be to get authors to pay "[t]he processing charges for a single manuscript [of] 1539 USD" and the "withdrawal charges" for "wastage of precious resources including editors, reviewers, and the editorial staff."

The first spam arrived in March 2018, for the Mathews Journal of Forensic Research. The journal website falsely claims to publish bimonthly and to release one volume per year. In November 2020, Mathews still advertises papers from issue 1 in 2018 as its only "recent articles." It has a picture of an issue for "volume 2" (dated 2019), but if it has any content, I cannot find it.

The editorial board does not include an editor-in-chief. The only US member is said to be Evan T. Keller, a professor of urology and pathology at the University of Michigan medical school, who works on prostate cancer bone metastasis and other topics apparently unrelated to forensic science research.
